I have some New Year proposals that I have came up with for this year. I admit that I never really commit to New Years resolutions but this year I have a handful of juicy ideas to get me started. I hope that by the end of the year I will have these proposals accomplished. Lets celebrate 2017 by feeding the New Year our fleshy and maybe even crazy resolutions, and lets knock on 2017’s door with a bang! Below I will share my personal resolutions, feel free to comment, I would love to hear some of your guy’s resolutions for 2017.
♦ Read at least… 100 books before the end of 2017.
♦ Keep my homework caught up for the rest of the year.
So, as many of you have probably witnessed was Glenn’s tragic death in The Walking Dead: Season 7 Premiere. Glenn one one of my top favorite characters in this show, and I won’t mention anything else of his passing. He is in a better place now. He went from a solo pizza delivery guy to being a character that we all loved and felt empathy for. This is my personal tribute to Glenn, may he rest forever in peace.
A few weeks ago my friend told me this. I thought it was hilarious. But the thing is, it is totally true. All we do on the internet is type, and write, and share, and communicate with each other through writing. And I am sure everybody loves a good, lighthearted cat video.
So, wow. I don’t even know where to start. I have had such a successful day today with my blog. So far I have gotten seventeen views and seven visitors. Thank you for everybody who supports this blog. I would really love it if you guys follow my blog. That would be the best. I hope to provide you with more posts that connect with other people. So, on that note, we are a lot like the ancient Egyptians. We write to communicate with each other, to connect with other people and ourselves.
Thank you again to all of your support and I hope to get more followers in the near future!
So… this is my response to the Hamilton Mixtape! You have no idea how excited I am right now! I have been waiting for this thing to come out for a while now! For those of you who don’t know or have any idea what the Hamiton Mixtape is, then just listen very carefully. Many of the songs from the original Broadway cast are sung by some very well known singers, as well as some songs as demos by Lin-Manuel Miranda. I can not fully describe how psyched I am right now!!! Many of the artists include Jimmy Fallon, Regina Spektor, Busta Rymes, The Roots, Nate Ruess, Queen Latifah, Sia, and many many more! So, now that I have told you about this, or if you haven’t gotten to listen to this yet, go and listen to this wonderful album!!!
Well, guess what. I did something most people would consider impossible. I wrote a NaNoWriMo, 30,000-word novel in thirty days. Crazy huh. Well, this was an assignment our teacher gave us about a month ago. So, here is is, I am a NaNoWriMo winner. Yay me. I guess anyone can be a winner if they try hard enough can’t they?
Oh and by the way I put my progress graph on the bottom of this post just so you can see my progress throughout the month. Enjoy!
Oh ya, by the way, please comment if you are a NaNoWriMo Winner this month also. I would be happy to talk with you.
So I admit that I am really psyched to see this movie. Wait let me rephrase that… I have been eagerly waiting to see this movie forever. In other words, when people say that they have seen it, it makes be want to go to the theater and break out my boisterous excitement! The beasts look spectacular and the characters seem like great new additions to the wizarding world. And one of the many great things about Fantastic Beasts is that J.K. Rowling wrote the screenplay herself! So… if you don’t mind me, I’ll be waiting to find a friend to go with to see this breathtaking movie.
Let me just say it… Hamilton is a great musical. For the many people who haven’t heard of Hamilton and haven’t listened to it then you should. Even though I personally haven’t seen it (and I really want to) I have respect for this beautifully written and performed hip-hop musical about our founding fathers. And for those people who don’t listen to Hamilton, it’s just because it is different. This cast has performed a trending musical that had been awarded twelve Tony Awards. Talk about amazing awesomeness!
The creator of this show Lin- Manuel Miranda has created a story where kids and adults can learn about the American Revolution and make it fun. This isn’t your classic Broadway musical. At times they may swear, and at times Thomas Jefferson and Hamilton have a rap battle between themselves and you just can’t help but cheering them on.
On that note, if you haven’t listened to Hamilton, you should. This musical is amazing and should be enjoyed by everyone.
Well, my English teacher piled a NaNo Prep binder on top of his honor’s classes two weeks ago. I was one of those poor anxious souls. It was so hard for me to even outline some characters until the last minute. I planned a little but also didn’t. I guess I am a mix of a pantster and a planner. Maybe I am a plantster… Anyway, I started National Novel Writing Month yesterday, and so far I am surprised, stressed, and anxious. My inner editor is decapitated and now I am writing, just writing on the seat of my pants (it’s a long story). So now I am on my way to writing glory, and I plan on participating in NaNoWriMo every year.
Oh, and before I end this post I thought I could share my synopsis with you.
Synopsis: When Lennox meets an ancient sorcerer he is tossed into a world of demons, interdimensional warriors, and an unearthly beast.
Please comment if you are a fellow wrimo, and have any advice.
So It was a few days until Halloween and I was catching up on some homework for the weekend when my grandma called. We talked about various things like Orchestra, and Halloween, and Halloween movies. But, then she mentioned something that really caught my attention… we are related to a witch…
Well I wouldn’t say she was a witch, but rather a lady convicted of being a witch back in August 19, 1692. Her name was Martha Carrier. A daughter of a founding family of Andover, she married to a young Welsh servant named Thomas Carrier, with whom she had four children with.
It all started when am man named Reverend Cotton Mather believed that she was an unearthly witch who should be executed during the Salem witch outbreak. She was convicted of witchcraft when the whole town got smallpox except her family. Sure, she was a mean lady and didn’t like other people, but all this piled up and she was executed. However, the Salem documents themselves state that her crime wasn’t witchcraft but “an independence of mind and an unsubmissive character.”
Was she a witch, or simply a mean lady? We may never know, but this tidbit of information was just enough to get me excited about Halloween again.
